AccentLoop
Pronunciation checker

Check your pronunciation word by word.

Pick a drill or type your own sentence, say it, and see exactly which words slipped, what they sounded like and how to fix the sound.

I think these three things are worth it.

01 — The short answer
In short

The AccentLoop pronunciation checker listens to you say a sentence and marks every word: green if it was clear, red if it slipped, with what it sounded like (for example “think” heard as “sink”), the sound involved and a one-line tip. In our test it found the mispronounced words in all 5 test sentences (13 of 13 errors). Free: 10 checks a day without an account.

How to check your pronunciation

  1. Choose a drill (th, r/l, v/w, ship/sheep…) or type any sentence.
  2. Press record and say it once at your normal speed.
  3. See each word marked green or red, with what we heard instead.
  4. Press “Listen” to hear a model, then try again and compare scores.

The 10 drills

Each drill sentence is packed with one sound pair that many learners mix up: th (think/sink), r and l, v and w, ship and sheep, bad and bed, final consonants, the weak schwa, word stress, -ng endings and h at the start of words.

Why per-word feedback beats a single score

A score of 78 doesn’t tell you what to do. Knowing that “three” came out as “tree” does: put your tongue between your teeth and push air. Reviews of several popular apps complain the score doesn’t explain what was wrong — that is the gap this checker is built for.

Frequently asked questions

Can I check any sentence?

Yes. Type up to about 20 words in English and say it. Short sentences give the clearest feedback.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, in Safari and Chrome. If the mic is blocked, the page shows how to allow it.

How many checks are free?

10 a day without an account. Pro raises it to 60 a day.

Do you keep my audio?

No. Audio is analysed and discarded; we never build a voiceprint.
